Heal Through Movement
After sharing a little about my story at a retreat I was asked, "How did you know that you needed to go running the morning after your husband died?" My answer....My body knew what it needed because I had been moving for the last year and my body knew how it felt, my body knew it's what it needed, what I needed.
Yes, healing comes through movement. The catch is that we have to start moving NOW! Don't wait until that trauma hits to start cultivating the habit of moving your body. It's harder in the middle of the trauma to cultivate this new routine. It's easier when life is a little closer to "normal" to build your relationship with moving your body and to see how it feels in your body, to find what kind of movement works for you.

As a fitness instructor accountability is built in. I have a room full of participants that I am accountable to, that expect a workout so I give it to them and in turn get one done for myself. For you that may not be the case. Accountability may be what you need to gain momentum and make moves!
